APD: Pedestrians hurt in hit-and-run

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department is investigating a Monday-morning hit-and-run accident involving two pedestrians.

Kenneth Parker, 37, and Donna King, 36, were hit by a blue 1986 Chevrolet C-10 pickup truck as they were walking south on Jefferson Street at about 9 a.m. Monday, according to an APD news release.

The two were treated at a local hospital for their injuries.

APD spokesperson Phyllis Banks said police have made no arrests in the case, though they have located and impounded the vehicle that hit the couple. The case is still under investigation, she said.

Anyone with information about the crime can call CrimeStoppers at (229) 436-TIPS or the APD at (229) 431-2100.
