Jessie H. Cox
FITZGERALD — Jessie H. Cox, 51, of Nashville, GA, died on Thursday, July 3,
2008. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the
Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, with interment to follow in Evergreen
Cemetery in Fitzgerald.

James Ferrell Davis
COLQUITT — James Ferrell Davis, 66, of Colquitt, died at home on July 7,
2008. Ferrell often shared stories of a life fully lived with family and
friends, however, was often know to express that his greatest achievement in
life was accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the
Sheffield Funeral Chapel with internment to follow at the Shepard Cemetery.
Rev. Cory Thomas and Rev. Roy Carroll will officiate.
No visitation will be held at the funeral home but the family will be
receiving friends at their home on Bremond street in Colquitt. Mr. Davis was
born on December 23, 1941, of Miller County, GA. He was a planner and a
estimator for the Marine Base in Albany. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church and was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force.
Pallbearers include Jeff Adkinson, Tony Warren, Ricky Thursby, Lee Tidwell,
Joe Tidwell, Rodney Bryan, Rod Bryan, and Terry Pickle.
Survivors include his wife and soul mate, Evelyn Davis of Colquitt; two
sons, Gregory (Jennifer) Davis of Liberty Lake, WA, and Kevin (Mandy) Davis of
ALBANY; one stepson, Jeff (Amy) Adkinson of Colquitt; one stepdaughter, Stacy
(Tony) Warren of Bainbridge; four gradchildren, Owen Davis, Conner Davis,
Kaitlyn Adkinson, and Morgan Lane; one brother, Wayne (Joyce) Davis of Albany;
and one sister Vickie (Gene) Pearson of Oakfied, GA.
