Roger Donald Brank
BLAKELY -- Roger Donald Brank, 63, of 160 Arnall Blvd., Blakely, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Freewill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Blakely Cemetery. The Revs. Fred Hersey and Joe Murkerson officiating.
Born in Charlotte, NC, on April 12, 1945, Mr. Brank was the son of Catherine McBryde Brank of Blakely and the late Donald Edward Brank. He was retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill as a main line operator and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He was an union officer with the Paper Mill Union and he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He has lived in Blakely since 1964.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Judy Jordan Brank of Blakely; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Green and Darian of Blakely; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Brank and Ann Killeen, TX; and three grandchildren, Dylan, Jackson and Kirstyn Green, all of Blakely. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to go to Wiregrass Hospice, 432 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39818 or to the Building Fund of First Freewill Baptist Church, 472 S. Church St., Blakely, GA 39823.

Frances Higgins Crozier
BAINBRIDGE -- Frances Higgins Crozier, 89, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. The visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Ft. Gaines, GA. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Walter Flint officiating. Interment will follow at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines.

Mrs. Crozier was born May 1, 1919 in Rome, GA, the daughter of Charles H. Higgins and Hassie Rose Davis Higgins. She was a graduate of the Martha Berry Schools in Rome, GA, Young Harris Junior College, and Georgia College for Women in Milledgeville, GA. She taught school until she married and moved to Bainbridge, GA, where for over 50 years she was a homemaker and a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard ThomasDickCozier, Jr. in 1997.
Survivors include three sons, Richard T. Crozier, III and wife Frances of Blakely, GA, William H.BillCrozier and wife Pam of Manchester, TN, and Harry W. Crozier and wife Beth of Blakely, GA; and 12 grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.

Bertha Hays Jones
CAMILLA -- Bertha Hays Jones, 97, of Camilla, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Hopeful Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul will officiate. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Born September 28, 1910 in Mitchell County, Mrs. Jones was married to the late Ernest Cleo Jones and was the daughter of the late Luther Henry and Katie West Hays. She was a lifetime member of Hopeful Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones retired as Director of Department of Family and Children Services and was a school teacher at the Hopeful School.
Survivors include two sisters, Esther Connell of Camilla and Maudie Lowery of Gainesville, GA; one brother, William James Hays Sr. of Albany; and numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to her, especially Telane Jones Lee and Peter and Jamie Hays who lived nearby.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-11 a.m., one hour prior to services Tuesday, July 15 at Hopeful Baptist Church.
