Evelyn Geneva Arnold
ALBANY Evelyn Geneva Arnold, 86, of Sylvester died Monday, July 14, 2008
at Sylvester Health Care. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted
Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will
receive friends, Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Sybyl Lee
ALBANY Mrs. Sybyl Lee, 74, of 1203 Eight Mile Rd. in Albany died July 13,
2008 at her residence.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern. Rev. Billy Joe
Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens.
A native of Tift County and grew up in Cairo, GA Mrs. Lee has lived in
Albany for 50 years where she was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church,
Martha/Mary Sunday School class, NGOs and was a former Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Lee was formerly employed with Southern Bell Telephone Co. and with J.C.
Penney Co. for 16 years. Mrs. Lee will always be remembered for her most
beloved hobbies which were making jellies, jams, cakes, crocheting and other
craft projects.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ronald M. Lee who died
December 15, 2003.
Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia L. Smith and her husband Terry of
Albany, GA, Sandra L. Thompson and her husband Bob of Macon, GA,
grandchildren, Clint Thompson of Valdosta, GA, Vince Thompson and his wife
Lauren of Douglasville, GA. She is also survived by numerous cousins,
brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many special friends and caregivers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at
Kimbrell-Stern.

James Walton
DAWSON Deacon James Walton, 75, of Dawson, GA, died on Thursday, July 10,
2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, in ALbany. Funeral services will be
held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Sandersgift Missionary Baptist
Church, Terrell County, GA. Rev David Hamm will officiate. Interment will
follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, in Dawson.
Deacon James Walton was born to the late Will and Francis Walton. on
February 24, 1933, in Webster County, GA.
He was educated in the public schools of Terrell County, GA. At an early age
he confessed his love for Christ and joined Sandersgift Missionary Baptist
Church, Sasser, GA. Deacon Walton was a faithful and devoted Deacon until his
demise.
James worked at Highbaugh Hardware Store, Dawson, for 42 years. During those
years, he touched many people throughout Dawson and surrounding cities. After
his retirement, he continued to provide repair services to many. During this
leisure, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Tauream.
Precious memories of a life well spent will be left with his loving wife,
Corrine Peggy Walton and their children; Dea. Horace (Charlie Mae) Walton,
Dea. Ronnie (Susan) Walton, , Lisa Walton (Dea. Jimmy)Harvey and Kenesha
Walton, all of Dawson, GA; Leonard (Ola) Walton, of Stone Mountain, GA, Curtis
(Betty) Walton of Savannah, GA, Milton Walton of Atlanta, GA, and Phyllis
(Rodney) Lewis of Albany, GA; five brothers, Willie Walton of Clearwater, FL,
Ulysses (Emma Jean) Walton, Jesse Lee (Mary Alice) Walton, and Billy (Fannie)
Walton all of Hartford, CT and Eugene (Mary) Walton of Tampa, FL; five
sisters, Mary Dell Dams of Tampa, FL, Geradline (Wilburn) Lockett and
Millerene (Eddie) Lockett both of Dawson, GA, Annie Doris (Willie B.) Leary of
Atlanta, and Katherine Walton of Hartford, CT; six aunts, Rosie Lee Perry of
Dawson, Mattie Brantly of Springfield, OH, Oueen Esther Stuckley of Detroit,
MI, Lucille Bell and Diane (Minister John) Hooks both of Albany and Sandra
(Melvin) Coleman of Fairburn; three uncles, Nelse (Minnie) Walton, Jr., and
Coleman (Geraldine) Walton, both of Miami, FL, Moses Walton of Dawson;
numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, Fannie Bell Gladden of Dawson, Deborah
Bell Brown, Lucius (Alma) Bell, Carolyn Davis, Ethel Bell and Valorie
(Roosevelt) Pickett, all of Albany, William (Lionel) Bell of Rahway, NJ, Rob
(Flossie) Bell of Plainville, NJ, Evelyn (Elbert) Johnson of Boston, MA, Henry
Jones, Willie Pearl Bryant and Reginald Bell all of St. Petersburg, FL and
Albert Bell of Fall River, MA; seventeen grandchildren; six
