Theotis Benton

ALBANY — Mr. Theotis Benton, 78, of Albany, died on July 18, 2008, at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 25, 2008, at 11 am at Hines Memorial C.M.E. Church with interment to follow at Floral Memory Garden Cemetery Rev. Kenneth McMillian will officiate Visitation will be held on Thursday at Meadows Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m.

Mr. Benton was born on April 14, 1930, in Randolph County. He was a graduate of Monroe High School in Adult Edcucation. He was a Army Veteran during the Korean War. He worked as a Retired Civil Services worker at the Marine Corps Logistics Base. He was a member of Hines Memorial C.M.E.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vivian Roberts Benton of Albany; one son Mr. Darryl Benton (Marilyn) of Albany; five sisters, Lilliam B. Fowler (Edward) of Albany, Mildred Hardy and Donnie B. Lizzmore both of Jacksonville, FL, Minnal Wingate of Hartsville, SC, and Mrs. Dorothy James of Shellman; three brothers, M. C. Benton (Gladys) of Jacksonville, FL, Carlton Benton (Maggie) of Memphis, TN and Silas Benton (Mary) of Latson, SC; two grandchildren, Mariah Benton and Darryl Benton Jr. both of Albany.

The remains of Mr. Benton will be at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

ALBANY — Mary Simon Moncrief, of Albany, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Lee County Health Care.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 PM until 9 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors. The graveside service will be held at 10 AM Thursday at Riverside Cemetery.

Mary Frances Westbrook

ALBANY — Mary Frances Westbrook, 73 of 2201 Nottingham Way Apt 3, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Union Missionary Baptist Church with interment in the Floral Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of Ms. Westbrooks daughter, Jwana L Washington 2202 Friartuck Lane.

Sara Frances Rozar Williamson

ALBANY — Mrs. Sara Frances Rozar Williamson, 91, died Monday July 21, 2008 at Palmyra Medical Center.

Her funeral service will be Thursday 10 a.m. at Floral Memory Gardens with Rev. Bruce Smith officiating.

Born March 9, 1917 in Dublin, GA, Mrs. Williamson had lived in Albany for the past 75 years and was retired from Lykes Packing Company. She loved to fish and was an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Marvin Williamson.

Survivors included her daughter Linda Warren and husband Norman, Leesburg; sons Jimmy Rogers and wife Celia, Georgetown, Jack Rogers and wife Gayle, Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers, Albany, Steven Rogers Thomasville, Derek Rogers, Whitter, CA, Lonnie Rogers and wife Debb, Mt. Pleasant, SC, Billy Rogers and wife Karen, Thomasville, AL, Georgeanna Reynolds and husband Duane, Pensacola, FL, Daniel Rogers and wife Elizabeth, Pensacola, FL; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 6 to 8 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
