Robert James Ball
ALBANY Mr. Robert James Ball, 42, of Albany, died on Friday, July 18, 2008
at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at
11 a.m. at Gethesemane Worship Center, Albany. Rev Fredeick Williams, pastor,
Rev. Kenneth Zachary will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist
Church Cemetery in Saser.
Mr. Ball was born on May 28, 1966, in Terrelll County. He was a 1985
graduate of Albany High School. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He
was the owner and operator of B. & M. Landscaping services.
Survivors include seven sisters, Willie Ann Loud, Barbara (Joe) Davis, Henri
Jo-Ball Lawton, Lorraine Ball, Tamanchia Hammond, Mary Ann Burnss, Mary Dean
Kimbrough all of Albany; ten brothers, Ulysses (Dangerine) Ball of Montgomery,
AL, Willie James (Evon)Hammond of Lancaster TX, Grady (Maxine) Ball, Walter
Hammond, Johnny Soilberry, Harry Soilberry and Frankie Ice (Teresa) Soilberry
all of Albany, Otis Soilberry and Ronald Soilberry both of Sasser, Rochester
(Carolyn) Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; a grandmother Mrs. Pinkie Lee Ball of
Sasser; six aunts, six uncles, a very devoted friend Mr. Danny Moore. The
remains of Mr. Ball will be at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m
until the Funeral Hour.

Grace Boston Kelson
ALBANY Mrs. Grace Boston Kelson, 86, of Sasser, died on Monday, July 21,
2008 at Phoebe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday,
July 26, 2008 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, in Lee County. Rev. Silas
Jackson, Pastor, Rev Booker T. Batten will officiate. Interment will follow at
the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Sassar.
The family of Mrs. Kelson will receive friends and relatives at the home of
her niece, Mrs. Brenda Grace Tutt 1314 Birkdale Drive her in Albany.
Mrs. Kelson was born on September 8, 1921, in Sasser. She attended Terrell
County Public Schools. She was a member of the Nurses Aid Board and Former
Church musician at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, were she was a member.
Survivors include three very devoted nieces and caregivers, Mrs. Brenda Tutt
of Albany, Mrs. Bettye Perry of Union City, and Mrs. Evelyn Hayes of Suwanee;
one sister, Mrs. Eva Summons of Steubenville, Ohio and one brother Mr. Johnnie
B BOSTON of Albany; a host of other nieces and nephews.
The remains of Mrs. Kelson will be at the church Saturday evening from 3
p.m. until the Funeral Hour.

Mamie Lee Beaton McQueen
ALBANY Mamie Lee Beaton McQueen, 93, of 1601 Radium Springs Rd., Apt. 25,
died Friday, July 18, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July
26, 2008 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Warwick. Rev. Tiller Sims
will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in
Oakfield.
Mrs. McQueen was born on September 18, 1914 in Lee County. She attended
Worth County Public Schools and was President of the Choir at New Hope
Baptist Church were she was a member. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Kennedy of Sylvester, and Lucille
Tolbert of Cordele; two sons, James T. Walker of Albany and Johnny Beaton
(Melva) of Macon; two very devoted grandchildren, Sheri Harris (Dennis) of
Albany and Izeal Walker (Linda) of Macon.
The remains of Mr. McQueen will be at the church on Saturday morning from 10
a.m until the Funeral Hour.

ALBANY John L. Wild, 93, of Albany, GA, formerly of Sandusky, OH, died
Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Albany Health Care. Funeral arrangements to be
