Breland,70, of Albany, GA died
Thursday, July 24, 2008 at
Phoebe Putney Memorial
Hospital. The funeral service were
conducted Saturday at 3:00 P.M.
at Life Christian Center. The
Pastor Stan Glass officiated.
A native of Charleston, SC, Mr.
Breland had resided in
Cottageville, SC before moving
to Albany, GA ten years ago. He
served in the U.S. Army and was
employed with and retired from
the Port Authority. He was
preceded in death by a brother,
Bernard Hartwell Breland and a
sister, Matilda Mae Hallman.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna
Elaine Ballinger of Leesburg, GA,
two sons, Charles Wayne
Breland of Valdosta, GA and
Donald Dwayne Breland and his
wife, Tara of Cottageville, SC, a
brother, Herbert Breland and a
sister, Rose Mary Adam both of
Walterboro, SC; seven
grandchildren, Keith Breland,
Justin Breland, Ashley Brooke
Ammons, Amber Rene Wisener,
Corey Ballinger, Tyler Tritan
Breland and Allison Victory
Breland.
Visitation was held Saturday
from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.at
Life Christian Center
International.

Ford Road died July 23, 2008 at
his residence.
The funeral service will be at 2
pm Monday, July 28, 2008 at
First Bethesda Baptist Church
with the Rev Felton Lamar
officiating. Burial will follow in Floral
Memorial Gardens.
A native of Baker County, Mr.
Brown was educated in the Baker
County School System and was
retired from Wildfair Plantation.
He was a member of First
Bethesda Baptist Church where he
served on the Usher Board and
was Secretary of the Trustee
Board.
Survivors include six
daughters, Ikie M. (Anthony)
Lewis of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia,
Peggy L. (James) Carpenter, of
Eutaw, Ala., Deborah B. Moss,
Lauratine B. (Ronald) Thomas,

Chelmer, 79, of Albany in the
Winterwood area died Friday July
25th 2008.
The family will receive friends
Sunday from 4 PM to 6 PM at
Kimbrell-Stern. A Graveside
funeral service will be held Monday
10 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. Mike McAfee will be
officiating.
Mrs. Chelmer was born in Key
West, FL on Aug 18,1928. She
graduated from Key West High
School and was married to the
late Sam Chelmer for 48 years.
Mrs. Chelmer is survived by two
daughters, Kathy Chelmer of
Albany and Sherry Rode of
The Colony, TX. Additional
survivors include one sister Mary
Jenkins of Stuart, FL; one
granddaughter Stacey Rode of
Plano, TX and numerous nieces
and nephews.
She was a devoted wife and
loving mother.

Reverend Mark Sickling will officiate
and interment will follow in Floral
Memory Gardens.
A native of Ben Hill County, Mr.
Minix was the son of the late
Oscar Christopher and Ailene
Harvey Minix. He was retired
from Phoebe Putney Memorial
Hospital after 25 years of service
as a Patient Accounts Manager.
He was the owner of Minix
Mobile Home Park since 1951 and
was a member of Acree Baptist
Church. He was proud to have
been a Mason since 1946 and
became a Shriner in 1975. He
was a member of the Masonic
Lodge number 24 F. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife,
Sara Joyce Gay Minix of Albany;
his children and their spouses,
John Holt Minix and wife Irmgard,
Emory Rudy Rudolph Minix and
wife Ann all of Worth County and
Kim Mark Minix and wife
Stephanie of Albany; his
stepchildren Carol Janes and husband
Gene of Morristown, TN and
Terrell Stripling and wife, Julie
of Birmingham, AL; 12
grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren; a number of
nieces and nephews and three
sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends
at the funeral home today,
Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 4 pm

Watson Schramm, 85, of Dawson
died Friday, July 25, 2008 at
Phoebe Putney Memorial
Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will
be held Monday, July 28, at 11
am at Rehoboth Baptist Church
Cemetery in Shellman with
Pastor Fred Collins officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 27 3 pm
to 5 pm at Harvey Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her sons,
Ricky, Randy, Mike and Tim
Schramm along with sons-in-law,
Bob Jones and Paul Wallace.
Mrs. Schramm was born
September 30, 1922 in Bronwood,
Ga to the late Frank T. Watson
and Cora Hall Watson. She was
a lifelong resident of Terrell
County. She was employed at
the Terrell County Library for a
number of years and more
recently she was a homemaker.
She was a past member of the
Joyful Jubilee and a member of
the Bronwood Baptist Church
and the Volunteer Sunday
School Class.
She was a wonderful mother
who enjoyed gardening, cooking,
canning and caring for her
beloved family and precious cats,
Missy and Liz. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Lorell
Schramm in 1972.
She is survived by four sons,

Dawson, Randy Schramm (Dianne) of
Dawson, Mike Schramm (Linda)
of Leesburg and Tim Schramm
(Marinan) of Bronwood, two
daughters: Sandra Jones (Bob)
of Kathleen, Deborah Wallace
(Paul) of Albany and special
family friend, Laura F. Schramm of
Dawson. Survivors also include a
brother, Bobby Watson (Betty) of
Cookville, TN and 13
grandchildren: Renee Smith
