Joan Apperson Ambrose
ALBANY The funeral
service of Joan Apperson Ambrose,
41, of 418 Flowing Well Road,
Leesburg, who died Saturday,
July 26, 2008 at Phoebe Putney
Memorial Hospital will be
conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at
Mathews Funeral Home. The
Rev. Bobby Harrell will officiate.
Interment will follow in Leesburg
Cemetery.
A native of Albany, Mrs.
Ambrose had resided in Leesburg
since 1989. She was a
homemaker and in earlier years she
was employed with Piggly Wiggly
and Food Max. She was a
member of the YAMS Sunday School
Class and First Baptist Church of
Leesburg. She was preceded in
death by her mother Eunice
Eudine Apperson.
Survivors include her husband,
Keith Ambrose; a son, Brian
Ambrose and her father, Wayne A.
Apperson, all of Leesburg; a
brother, Tony Apperson, of Camp
Lejeune, NC; and a sister, Angie
Harrell and her husband, Tony of
Albany; and a nephew, a niece,
two great-nephews and two
great-nieces.
The family will receive friends
today (Monday) from 7:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral
Home.

Curtis Bunyan Whitman
ALBANY The funeral
service of Curtis Bunyan Whitman,
65, of 155 Union Lane, Anderson
City, GA, who died Saturday, July
26, 2008 at Phoebe Putney
Memorial Hospital will be conducted
Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Lakeside
Baptist Church. The Rev. Harris
Whitman and the Rev. Ken
Chancellor will officiate.
Interment will follow in Liberty Hill
Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Whitman was a lifelong
residence of Worth County. He
was a Retired Minister and was
owner of various businesses. Mr.
Whitman was a Member of
Lakeside Baptist Church where
he was a Deacon and taught The
Mens Sunday School Class. He
was preceded in death by his
parents, Sidney Joseph Whitman
and Dorothy Elizabeth Walker
Whitman and a brother, Joseph
Lovice Whitman.
Survivors include his wife,
Sandra Whitman of Anderson
City, GA; four sons and their
wives, Chris and Becky Whitman,
and Jeff and Rhonda Whitman,
all of Anderson City, GA, Eric and
Penny Whitman of Leesburg,
GA, and Brian and Toni Whitman
of Sylvester, GA; two brothers
and their wives, Stanford and
Robbie Whitman of Moultrie, GA
, Harris and Betty Whitman of
Adel, GA, two sisters, Latrelle
Brooks of Worth County and
Runelle Crosby and her
husband, Pete of Leesburg, GA; 11
grandchildren, Zach Whitman,
Meghan Whitman, Kristin
Whitman, Kim Norris, Emerald Norris,
Levi Whitman, Ashley Whitman,
Haley Whitman, Holley Whitman,
Daniel Whitman and Laken
Whitman.
The family will receive friends

Albany, GA.
