Edward William Bell, Jr.
ALBANY Edward William Bell, Jr., 17 of Albany, died on Wednesday, July
23, 2008, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 12 noon at
Zion Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at New St. James Church
Cemetery.

Harold D. Culbreth
ALBANY Harold D. Culbreth, Sr. 72, of Leesburg, GA died Tuesday, July 29,
2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday,
10 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m. to
8 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Grady Morey to officiate. Interment to
follow at Eastview Cemetery(Shellman). Those desiring make contributions to

Issac Johnson, Sr.
ALBANY Mr. Issac Johnson, Sr., 82, of Leary, died on Wednesday, July 23,
2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Maryland Baptist Church in Leary.
Rev. Kenneth Williams will officiate. Interment will be in the Union Baptist
Church Cemetery in Morgan.
Mr. Johnson was born on August 14, 1925, in Calhoun County. He attended
Calhoun County Public Schools and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a
member of St. Maryland Baptist Church. He was a retired Fork Lift Operator
with Lillison Farm Equipment Company
Survivors include, three sons, Mr. Johnny B. Johnson (Dorothy), and Mr. Leon
Johnson (Lula) both of Leary, Mr. Isaac Johnson, Jr., (Cynthia) of Bainbridge;
three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Lyles Belton (John) Atlantic City, NJ, Mrs.,
Calinte Chamberlain (Arnold) of Albany, and Mrs. Rowe Norris Johnson of Leary,
16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
The remains of Mr. Johnson will be at the church on Wednesday, July 30,
2008 from 10 until the funeral hour.

Marvin K. King
ALBANY Marvin K. King, Sr., 86, of Lewiz Ave. died on Sunday, July 27,
2008 at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 30,
2008, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Elliott Funeral home with Dr. Pringle
officiating.
Marvin K. King was born on February 27, 1922, to the late C.W. King and
Margaret Alegra Slater King. He served his county in the U.S. Navy after
leaving Tuskegee University. Later, after leaving service he became a
contractor and an inventor.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ella Worthy King; two sons, Marvin
(Joann) King, Jr. of Albany and Dixie (Stacy) King; two daughters, Betty King,
(Lawrence) Chandler, of Glendale, AZ and Muriel King of Columbus; two
brothers, Preston King and Paul King; many grandchildren, and a number of
great grandchildren.

Kale Bradley Morey
ALBANY Master Kale Bradley Morey, of Albany, died Friday, July 25, 2008 in
Lynchburg, VA.
The funeral service for Kale will be held at 10 AM Saturday at
Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with interment to follow in Crown Hill
Cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Morey will officiate.
Kale is survived by his parents, Russell and Halli Morey of Albany; a
brother, Austin Morey; two sisters, Paige Morey and Brielyn Gilman all of
Albany; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Morey of Camilla; maternal
grandparents, Bill and Lorri Blower of Daytona Beach, FL; maternal
great-grandparents, Marsha Webb and Dixie Blower; and several aunts, uncles,
and cousins.

Ernest Dwayne Norman
ALBANY Ernest Dwayne Norman was born August 26, 1946 in Parkersburg, West
Virginia, a son of the late William H. Norman and Betty L. Norman. He served
in the United States Army in Vietnam after graduating from Parkersburg High
School in 1967. He later moved to Georgia to work in his fathers water well
drilling company. He also worked in the highway construction industry. His
most recent job was building large commercial buildings. He was an avid
golfer.
Ernie (Blue) died August 28, 2008 at Cordele Health and Rehabilitation
Center in Georgia after losing a two year battle with cancer. He is survived
by two brothers: William H. Norman Jr. of Warwick, Georgia and Michael M.
Norman of Noblesville, Indiana; one sister, Martha Holloway of Oregon; several
nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Gary K.
Norman.
A memorial service will be held in Parkersburg in the near future.

Helen Wiggins
DAWSON Sister Helen Wiggins, 57, of Lee Street, Dawson, died on Sunday,
July 27, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, in Albany. Funeral services
will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Macedonia Missionary
Baptist Church, in Parrott. Bishop E.J. Wallace will officiate. Interment will
follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, in Dawson.
Sister Helen Wiggins, the daughter of Deacon ONeal Wiggins, Sr. and the
late Lula Mae Collins Wiggins, was born March 29, 1952 in Randolph County,
Georgia.
She joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, in Randolph County, GA at a
very early age. She later joined the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, in
Dover ell, GA, under the leadership of Rev. James O. Carter.
Her education was received in the Public Schools of Terrell County, GA and
was a 1969 graduate of George Washington Carver High School, Dawson, GA.
Sister Wiggins departed this life on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Phoebe Putney
Memorial Hospital, in Albany. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in
death by a son, Melvin Tyrone Wiggins, Sr. and a sister, Annie Bell Wiggins
Oxford.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, loving father,
Dea. ONeal Wiggins, Sr.; two daughters, Saundra Anita Wiggins of Henderson,
TN and Pamela Wiggins Douglas (Hollis) of Americus, GA; six grandchildren,
Cordeius, Kadedra, Melvin, Mikal, Tyra and Marcus; four sisters, Lula
Alexander, Jacksonville, FL, Ida Fordham (Mancefield), Mary Johnson (Samuel)
and Long (George), all of Orlando, FL; three brothers, Jimmy Wiggins of
Dawson, GA Willie James Wiggins of Cuthbert, GA and Retired MSGT ONeal
Wiggins, Jr. of Clarksville, TN; two loving aunts, Margie Cladd of Sasser, GA
and Priscilla Cladd of Richland, GA; a brother-in-law, Dea. Otis Oxford of
Dawson, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John Lester Wild
ALBANY The graveside service of John Lester Wild, 93, who died Tuesday,
July 22, 2008 at Albany Health Care, was conducted July 26, 2008 in Oakland
Cemetery, Sandusky, Ohio. The Rev. John Mawhirter officiated.
A native of Sandusky, Mr. Wild had resided in Albany since 2003. John was
born in Sandusky, December 23, 1914 and was a graduate of Sandusky High
School. He was employed by American Crayon Co. and worked with John Thiede
Plumbing and Heating. He was a life-long member Zion Lutheran Church. His
hobbies included bowling, jigsaw and crossword puzzles and long walks around
his beloved Sandusky.
Mr. Wild is survived by his sister, Ruth McPeek of Albany, GA, nephew,
Steven J. Dilts and his wife, Laurie of Albany, GA, a great niece, Caren Dilts
of Athens, GA, a great nephew, Erik Dilts and his wife Kristi and a
great-great niece, Dresden Dilts of Shreveport, LA.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Benjamin Wild, his mother,
Theresa Bertha Marquardt and two sisters, Irene Heinz and Betty Thiede.
