ALBANY The funeral service of Richard Michael Turner, 50, of Albany who died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at his residence while surrounded by family and friends, will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Hanna will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Lake Charles, LA, Mr. Turner had resided in Albany, GA since 1962. He was a 1976 graduate of Dougherty High School and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church where he attended the Discipleship Sunday School Class. He was a driver with USF Holland Freight Lines for twelve years. Mr. Turner was also a very loving and devoted husband, father and Papa.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Welch Turner of Albany,GA, three sons, Ben Turner and his wife, Allison of Lexington, KY, Derrick Cook of Lake Park, GA and Terrence Cook and his wife, Amanda, his parents, Rick and Babbs Turner, a sister, Marie Watkins and her husband, George all of Albany, GA, three grandchildren, Dillon Turner, Emma Grace Turner and Nicholas Cook and a nephew, Stephen Watkins of Albany, GA.

ALBANY Mrs. Emma lee Odom, 86, died Thursday, August 14, 2008. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Union Baptist Church at 12 noon. The Reverend Severson will officiate.
Mrs. Odom was born April 25, 1922 in Dougherty County. She was educated in the Dougherty County Public Schools System. Mrs. Odom served on the Usher Board, Deaconess Board, Henry Link Johnson Daughter of the Elks Temple {pound}1204.
Survivors include two sons, J.C. Odom, Jr. and wife Sallie and Jessie B. CAMILLA Mary Crosby Register, 95, of Camilla, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with interment in Oakview Cemetery. Rev. Neal Hager and Rev. Alton Harper will officiate. Pallbearers will include the Deacons of Southside Baptist Church.
Born October 19, 1912 in Hopeful Community, Mrs. Register was the daughter of the late Lenora Jane Hays and Green Byron Sawyer. She was preceded in death by nine brothers, Benny Lee Sawyer, Johnnie Warren Sawyer, Freddy Barber Sawyer, Arthur Gilbert Sawyer, Lemuel Sawyer, Fulton Green Sawyer, Byron Edwin Buck Sawyer, James Alton Jim Sawyer, and one infant brother; five sisters, Mollie Clara Sawyer, Lula Florence Davis, Wanda Wolfe, Hattie Dale Bullard, and Marys twin, Martha Sawyer. Mrs. Register was also preceded in death by husbands, Samuel Leonard Crosby and Harley Register; and two step-daughters, Florence Register and Thelma Beck. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Glory Sunday School Class. She had previously taught the Junior Sunday School Class. Mrs. Register retired from Wilgree Manufacturing Co. in Camilla. A hard working woman, she was a single mom with a supportive family of siblings. She was a fine maker of strawberry fig presrves and served a lemon meringue pie that was out of this world.
Survivors include one daughter, Lenora Lowery of Camilla; a step-daughter, Jannette Register of Camilla; two grandchildren, Dale Lowery and children, Christopher Paul, and Leanna Faith Lowery and Dana L. Williams and children, George Samuel, Eric Quinn, and Hogan Lane Williams; step-grandchildren, Billy Beck, Bobby Beck, Brian Beck, and Terry Lynn Beck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday, one hour prior to services, at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.

Bradley Mike Sexton
COLUMBUS Bradley Mike Sexton, 58, of Deatsville, AL died at University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA Friday, August 15, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel, Columbus, GA with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Baker, Bill Dale, Bruce Miller, Burt Le Blanc, Bruce Hayes and John Moss. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the funeral home in Columbus, GA.
Mr. Sexton was born August 25, 1949 in Thomaston, GA son of Geraldine Bradshaw Sexton and the late Clyde E. Sexton. He was a Regional Operations Manager for ICI Deluxe Paints (formerly Glidden) covering a three state area. We will remember him as a man who enjoyed life to its fullest daily and was an avid Alabama fan. He will be missed by his family and friends, but his memories will continue to fill our hearts.
Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by his dad, Clyde E. Sexton and a brother, Ricky Sexton.
Survivors include his two sons, Lance (Amanda) Sexton of Carrollton, GA and Chad Sexton of Albany, GA; his mother, Geraldine Bradshaw Sexton of Albany, GA; step-daughter, Tammy (Bert) Le Blanc of Leesburg, GA; two brothers, Steve (Judy) Sexton and David Sexton all of Albany, GA; several nieces, nephews and friends.

BLAKELY Mittie Johnson Tiner, 87, of Cedar Springs, died on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at South East Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Stafford. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Tiner was born on August 5, 1921 in Miller County. She was the daughter of Walter Johnson and Polly Mock Johnson. She had lived in Early County since 1942. She worked as a Rtd School Bus Driver and Administrative Clerk at Early Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tiner was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Keaton Tiner and one son Walter Tiner.
Survivors include four sons, Wayne Tiner and wife Jan of Cowart, AL, Kenneth Tiner and wife Linda of Blakely, Jerry Tiner and wife Sheila of Blakely, and Steve Tiner and wife Pam of Shreveport, LA; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family received friends Monday, August 18, 2008 at Mary-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m.
