Angel La'Miracle Calloway
DAWSON Infant Angel LaMiracle Calloway, died on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 12 noon at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson with Reverend Willard O. Weston will officiate.
Her earthly life was short; however it was precious and sweet.
Precious memories will forever live with her parents, Richard Calloway, Jr. and Shamara Hall; four grandparents Pamela Hall, Teresa Leeks, Ora D. Hall, and Richard Colloway; two loving aunts, Martekia Hall and Tanzania Williams; three uncles, Martavious Hall, Nairobi Hall and DeCaris Leeks a special cousin, Jaylan T. Hall; a loving God-mother, Jassaline Richardson and a host of uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Jane Owens Chancey
ALBANY Mrs. Jane Owens Chancey, 79 of 2310 Pineridge Ln. of Albany died August 28, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be Saturday 2 PM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. David Dickens officiating.
Mrs. Chancey has lived in Albany 75 years, where she attended Palmyra Road United Methodist Church, retired from Bellsouth with 25 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Camille Miles and her husband Gene of Albany, two grandchildren, Adam, Ashley and her husband Jonathan, three great-grandchildren, Triston, Ashton and Chancey, brothers, Robert Owens and his wife Jeanette of Michigan and James Owens and his wife Jonnie of Lee County.
Mrs. Chancey was preceded in death by her Parents, Fred and Pattie Cleveland Owens, two children, Donna Diane Chancey and Sidney Reed Chancey.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Miles 2310 Pineridge Ln, Albany, GA 31707.

Mary Alice Edge King
SYLVESTER Mrs. Mary Alice Edge King, 87, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 2 p.m. in the Sumner County Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Huggins will officiate.
Mrs. King resided in Moultrie until 1993 when she moved to Sumner, after retiring from F.W. Woolworth as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Sumner Baptist Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano for church services. She also enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She was born on July 18, 1921, in Doerun, Colquitt County, Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Lester Ernest Edge and Eunice Ethel Johnson Edge. She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Graysdon King on January 27, 1977 and by four brothers, James Lester Edge, Robert Lafayette Edge, Owen Eugene Edge, and Edward Lamar Edge. She is survived by a sister, Nannie Ruth Brannen of Watinsville.
Survivors include four daughters Margie King Fullerton and husband Larry of Albany, Alice Ruth King Jeffery and husband Bob of Sumner, Diane King Mary and husband Bob of Jacksonville, FL, and Betty Joyce King Bleshoy and husband Bill of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, Michael Glenn Fullerton, Robert Douglas Fullerton and wife Kim, Angela Renae Mary Wood and husband Steve, Steven Daniel Bleshoy and wife Lisa, Ginger Lynn Mary Schneider and husband, Scott Shannon Michelle Bleshoy; seven great grandchildren Whitney Leigh Fullerton, Carmen Celeste Bleshoy, Owen Gabriel Bleshoy, Grant Morgan Schneider, Angelica Skye Bleshoy, Baker Allen Fullerton and Elizabeth Banks Fullerton.

Argress Kincaid Carr
CAMILLA Argress Kincaid Carr of Macon, GA passed away on August 28, 2008. She was born on March 6, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Kincaid of Camilla, GA. She is survived by her sister Phyllis Royal of Valdosta, cousins Barbara Cosenzo of Macon, Betty Nesmith of Macon, Billy Thigpen of Macon and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her beloved dog Abbie.
She worked at the Medical Center of Central GA for 28 years. However she was best known in Macon as Mrs. Claus during the holiday season. Argress entertained children at several area hospitals every year.
Visitation will be from 11 A.M.-12 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Parker Bramlett Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The graveside services will be at Oakview Cemetery in Camilla, GA on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 2 p.m.

CUTHBERT Leona Perkins Varner, formerly of Ft. Gaines passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Magnolia Manor nursing home in Buena Vista, GA.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 1, 2008 at 11:30 at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines and will be conducted by Rev. Garth Duke Barton.
Mrs. Varner was born February 10, 1920, in Quitman County, to the late Daniel Bradley and Marble Perkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence P. Varner of Ft. Gaines, brother Bradley Perkins, Jr., of Americus and a sister, Sarah Summers of LaCanda, CA.
Mrs. Varner is survived by two daughters, Sue V. Dews (Charlie) of Buena Vista and Fe V. Higginbotham (Tom) of Montgomery, AL; one son Lawrence Pugh Varner of Columbus; four grandchildren, Susannah Whithead Franklin, Danielson, CT, John E. Vickers, III and Whitney Vickers Dyer (Jon) of Montgomery, AL and Ginny Varner of Columbus; and two great grandchildren Hannah Lilli and Sophie Franklin of Danielson, CT.
She attended Bessie Tift College and Florida State University pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and touched the lives of many children while teaching in Georgia and Florida.
Known by many, especially her grandchildren, as NaNa, she followed her life long passion of sewing and many children throughout the South Benefited from her special talents. She was forced to give up her sewing after being diagnosed with Alzheimers.
Leona was active in the Ft. Gaines United Methodist Church and the community. She was a true Southern Lady who loved her God, her family, and friends.
