Moore conference comes to region

  • A number of Southwest Georgia churches will host a 4th annual simulcast, which starts Friday.

ALBANY — Beth Moore’s “Living Proof Live 2008” simulcast will be presented in several churches across Southwest Georgia this weekend.

The two-day event will be held 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

Participating churches include First Baptist Church Adel, Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, First Baptist Church of Americus, First Baptist Church of Cairo and First Baptist Church of Colquitt.

At Sherwood, a $30 fee includes admission and a listening guide, as well as continental breakfast and light snacks on Saturday.

At First Baptist Church in Colquitt, the $35 fee also includes admission, a listening guide and Saturday morning snacks.

“Living Proof Live” is Moore’s 4th annual televised simulcast via satellite from Louisville, Ky., that will include Bible study.

The event will also include a time of praise and worship led by Nashville, Tenn., worship leader Travis Cottrell.

A graduate of Southwest Texas State University, Moore is a married mother of two. She works full-time in Christian education and has written numerous Bible studies for women.
