Atmosphere change refreshing
Documenting sports in Albany can suck away one’s soul. For nearly a year and half now I have met the coaches and athletes that lead every level of athletic teams in this city. From high school to college to the professionals, they, with a few exceptions, are dedicated individuals with remarkable stories to tell and produce great human drama on their field, court or course.

Junior open tees off today for fifth consecutive time
The Albany Junior Open will start this morning at 8 a.m. as defending champion Kathryn Fowler will try to defend her girl’s title, while the boy’s title will be up for grabs.
