When: Friday, 4 p.m.-7 p.m.Where: The Albany Civic Center, 100 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.The 2024 Juneteenth Community Clebration will include bingo and art in the ballroom and performances by Rutha Harris and the Freedom Singers, Southwest Georgia Performing Arts Academy, Larry Mallory and the EarKandy Experience Band.Admission: No cost. clear-bag policy will be enforced.

When: Saturday, 4 p.m.-11 p.m.Where: Flint RiverQuarium, 101 Pine Ave.By popular demand, the Knobby Knees Music Festival is bringing The Bones of J.R. Jones back, and the artist will be the 2024 headliner. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the show starts at 4 p.m. with the Evergreen Family Band. Multiple food trucks and bars will be on site to provide food and drinks. No pets or coolers allowed.The schedule for this year includes: The Shelby Brothers at 5 p.m., Matt McMillan and the City Limits Band at 6 p.m., Jontavious Willis at 7 p.m. and Unbreakable Bloodline at 8 p.m. The Bones of J.R. Jones hit the stage at 9:30 p.m.Admission: General admission $20 ($25 at the gate) and includes outdoor seating, VIP tickets, which include indoor and outdoor seating, indoor restrooms, private bar and catered dinner, are $150.

When: Saturday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday, noon-6 p.m.Where: Paradise Park, 2452 W. Gordon Ave.Downtown Market/Entertainment is hosting a Juneteenth Celebration 2024 to commemorate the historical significance of the holiday and celebrate freedom and unity within the commuity. The event will feature music, DJ performances, tailgating and vendors.

When: Saturday, noon-3 p.m.Where: Albany State University West Campus, 2400 Gillioville Road.The Good Life City Community Cookout will feature free burgers and hot dogs while supplies last. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for an afternoon of music, vendors, games and more.
