Internet lies muddy up the election process

This election season is becoming even more creative with negative emails designed to nurture hate and promote fear and dissent by proclaiming what can only be called bold-faced lies by proclaiming to have already checked with Snopes!
Being the truthseeker that I am, I go ahead on my own checking — both Snopes and Factcheck.org. — to discover the half-truths and outright lies being resurrected, some from as far back as 2006.
We have all witnessed throughout our lives the evil and wasted humanity as wars were waged in the name of religion. Every conflict, every life lost, is a direct result of conflicting ideologies and beliefs, yet, even after all the carnage and cost, we have failed to learn the lesson, that lesson being so elemental that it appears beyond our comprehension!
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”!
Yes — this includes Muslims, Mormons, Amish, Quakers, Jews, Christians and any other dogma!
