Rosa Kennedy Crosby

ALBANY — Rosa Kennedy Crosby, 57, of Albany passed away Sunday, August 3 2008 at her home in Albany.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. The Revered Chris E. Turner will officiate with Interment to follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.

Rosa Kennedy Crosby was born December 12, 1950 in Ashburn to the late Jack and Mattie Kennedy. Rosa attended Lighthouse Ministries where she enjoyed worshipping her Lord. Rosa will be remembered as a loving Mother, grandmother, sister and friend who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Other than her parents Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crosby; daughter, Georgette Turner; four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Pate and her husband, Dale of Bonaire; one son, Mark Musselwhite and his wife Rachel of Albany; Brothers, Rev. Henry Kennedy and his wife, Minnie of Moultrie, Willis Kennedy of Albany, Bobby Kennedy and his wife Bobbie of Leesburg and James Kennedy of Birmingham, AL.; one sister, Joyce Todd and her husband, Benney of Claxton and grandchildren, Kimberlea, Amber, Erin, Mark, Jr., Gracie and Richard.

The Family will receive friends (today) Wednesday from 7pm until 9:00 pm at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.

ALBANY — Shirley L. Holley, 66, of 256 Long Dirt Rd. Lot 26, Leesburg, GA, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008. The family will be at Eddie and Denise Watson 1302 Old Smithville Rd, Leesburg. Funeral arrangements to be announced.

Herbert Truman Ragan

ALBANY — The graveside service of Herbert Truman Ragan, 63, of Albany, GA who died Monday, August 4, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, July 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

A native of Loganville, GA, Mr. Ragan was a member of Corinth Christian Church in Loganville, and had resided at 2616 Pointe North Blvd, at ARC, here in Albany for the past nine years.

Survivors include two brothers, Billy Ragan and Lewis Ragan, two half-brothers, Richard Ragan and his wife, Faye and Donald Ragan and an uncle, J.B. Ragan.

Mary Seybold

ALBANY — Mrs. Mary Seybold, 57, of Leesburg, GA died Tuesday August 5, 2008 at her residence.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00AM at Kimbrell- Stern with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Mike Lyons will be officiating.

A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Seybold lived in the Albany area the past 40 years. She worked with Proctor and Gamble for 10 years and Southern Bell. She was a loving wife and mother and nothing brought more joy to her than seeing her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Gregory Seybold of Leesburg; four sons Edward Hamil of Lee County; Brian Hamil of Tampa, FL; Tony Hamil of Tampa, FL; Gene Seybold and his wife Melissa of Albany; a daughter Amanda Bennett and her husband Bobby of Navarre, FL; three sisters Connie Lewis and her husband Jim of Charleston, SC; Annette Harrel and her husband Ray of Lee County; Rachel Johnson and her husband David of Lee County; Her mother Otilia Beasley of Lee County; ten grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00PM at Kimbrell-Stern.

DJ Vinson

ALBANY — DJ Vinson, 23, of Sylvester passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 while attempting to save the life of another.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Sunnyside Baptist Church on Mock Road. DJ will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Reverend Chris E. Turner will officiate with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Jake Nunn, Chris Harvey, Logan Hatcher, Ricky Porter, Marc Layer, Daniel Hammon, Johnny Pittman and Jason Blackstock will serve as active pallbearers. Many other close friends will serve as honorary pallbearers

Gary DeWayne Vinson, Jr. was born October 17, 1984 in Albany, to Gary DeWayne and Elizabeth Osborne Vinson. He was a 2003 graduate of Albany High School and earned an associate degree from Darton College in Physical Ed and Health. DJ always had a special way of treating others with kindness regardless of race. DJ enjoyed baseball, fishing and loved animals.

DJ was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rudolph Vinson; maternal great- grandfather, Andrew Turner and maternal Great-grandmother, Lillie Mae Osborne.

Survivors include his loving parents, Gary DeWayne and Elizabeth Osborne Vinson of Sylvester; sister and brother-in-law, LeeAnn Hynes and her husband, Allen of Albany; niece, Paisley Hynes of Albany; Maternal grandparents, Annie Osborne of Albany and Donald Osborne and his wife Charlotte of Loganville; maternal great-grandmother, Matrid Turner; Paternal grandparents, Eva Burtz of Sester; Several Uncles and Aunts, Cousins and close friends.
