Hard Money was incorporated in Webster County in 1856. It thrived for a while, but lost its charter in 1881. Hard Money regained its charter Aug. 12, 1911 and was renamed Weston. Weston celebrated its 100th birthday this year, but barely. We are hanging on by a thread.
