BRIDGETT BURROWS: Vatican II church is not the true Catholic church
LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Bridgett Burrows
This is a response to a nameless squawker who attacked me and my letter about Antipope Francis, calling the letter “hate, filth and evil” and giving no specifics. This is typical of people of bad will. Well, I can give specifics to prove that the church that goes by the name “Catholic” today is not the True Roman Catholic Church. I refer to it as the Vatican II Church, after the heretical council with the same name.
False ecumenism is one of the main errors of this new church. It promotes endless dialogue, concentrating on what different religions have in common, rather than what divides them. This is fatal for souls, since the Catholic Church teaches that outside the Church there is neither salvation, nor remission of sins.
In 1965, Antipope Paul VI “lifted” the excommunication against the Eastern Orthodox Church without requiring a conversion from its schismatic and heretical beliefs. A true pope could not do this. On Oct. 31, 1999 the Vatican II Church made an agreement with Lutherans, officially accepting heretical beliefs on justification, “rescinding” anathemas from the Council of Trent in the process. Joseph Ratzinger (Antipope Benedict XVI) actually called this agreement a work of the Catholic Church. Since the Council of Trent is infallible, the Catholic Church could not make such an agreement.
Antipope John Paul II was actually the worst of the bunch. His whole “pontificate” promoted nothing but religious indifferentism. He broke the First Commandment on a regular basis by participating in Non-Catholic worship services. He even hosted two major events (Assisi I and II) whereby members of numerous false religions were allowed to worship their false gods while he looked on in complete approval.
Throughout the ages many saints were martyred rather than do such things (Pope St. Peter comes to mind). John Paul II even kissed the Koran and asked St. John the Baptist to protect Islam. Apparently, these are “saintly” traits, since the Vatican II Church actually “canonized” him.
In light of this information, one can only wonder what “god” the squawker is praying to for me.
