I have read article after article of Michael Gerson, Krauthammer and Fletcher, and thought you may want a different “perspective.” The denigrating of the so-called “populists” movement, and adherents to non-establishment candidates by name-calling, impugning motives and their religion, will bring the elite media little to no understanding of the volcanic movement afoot.

Using Alinsky’s rules for radicals, especially rule No. 12: Target-freeze-personalize (name call) and ridicule may fool some people, but less than “imagined.” Things like “homophobic,” “nativists,” “white privilege,” “anti-immigrant” deflect intellectual argument about the issues. Someone said, “When you know the law, you argue the law, and when you know the facts, you argue the facts, but when you know neither, you name-call” and “Slander is the tool of the loser” (paraphrased, from ole times, Aristotle maybe?).

It seems the liberal clarion call for “tolerance” is only for ones who agree with the left. You just need to ask Christians Kim Davis, the “bakery” family or Catholic hospitals. Going to prison and losing your livelihood over beliefs is not really freedom. For goodness sakes, she just wanted accommodation and her name off the forms! They give Gitmo terrorists food and prayer accommodations, and they are not citizens!

People like Trump, Carson, Fiorina, etc. (non-establishment) candidates are popular because they tend to do what they say, unlike probably 80 percent of politicians. Tying this all into the immigration mess by mocking Christians (ridicule again) by saying “love thy neighbor” and “feed the hungry” etc. was a pitiful argument! Criminal immigrants (illegal aliens), breaking laws to get here from Mexico, with possible M16 gang members, criminals and potential terrorists in their midst, are not our neighbors!

The I.N.S., Department of Homeland Security and the local sheriff of San Francisco “sanctuary city” did not love their neighbor Kate Steinle, who was murdered by an criminal illegal, by allowing him back in five times! She was an actual citizen and neighbor.

Some blacks in this nation are also tired of being second-class citizens to the illegal aliens coming in. They have a higher unemployment rate than others, especially the late teens and young adults. All of our children need jobs. This is why we have the “Stump for Trump” Phenomena (Diamond, and Silk ladies).

All the respect for the “goliaths” is falling … big government, big business (crony capitalism), big mainstream media, and big pharmaceuticals. All of this despite the incessant negative chatter from the media elite class against the “forgotten men.”

Populism is not a dirty word and is defined as “one who believes in the rights, wisdom and virtues of the common man.” Regarding freedom, Bastiat says, ” … (T)ry liberty; for liberty is an acknowledgement of faith in God and his works. ” And finally, 11 Corinthians 3:17, “Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

We have come very far from those principles as we continue to see the War on Christianity. The Constitutional Convention had 55 there and all were of Christian denominations and three deists (Christianity and the Constitution).
