According to a report by an officer of the Albany Police Department, he and other other officers responded around 4:24 a.m. to an active alarm at that location. Upon arrival, police found the front glass door shattered, the report stated, and signs that entry had been made into the business. The officer said in a statement it appeared that the burglar had thrown a cement block through the glass causing it to shatter.

A block was also used to shatter the top portion of the same door, the report stated, which is where the suspected entered, the report stated. According to the report, the intruder smashed open the cash registers and took an undetermined amount of cash.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477) for a possible reward.
