Colony Bank announces four appointments

Briley Edwards, Vance Green and Dawn Story have accepted new roles with Colony Bank in its Dougherty County and Lee County market.
Edwards is vice president, commercial lending, and will be located at Colony Bank’s Leesburg office. He has more than 12 years experience in loan review, audit and commercial lending. Edwards has a degree in agricultural economics from the University of Georgia. He is a graduate of Leadership Crisp and the Georgia Academy of Economic Development. He has served as president of Cordele Rotary Club, chairman of Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce, treasurer of Crisp Area Arts Alliance and board member of Cordele Main Street. He and his wife, Salley, have two children, Adelle and Brabham.
Green is a commercial lender at the Ledo Road office. Green began his career with Colony Bank in 2013 and has completed the management training program and the Community Bankers Association Consumer Banking School. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and has worked in Camilla and Sylvester.
Story is a consumer and small business lender and is located at the bank’s Chehaw office on Philema Road. She has 26 years experience in consumer lending, branch management, customer service and training. She is a graduate of Deerfield-Windsor School and Darton State College. She is a member of Albany Area Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Story is a member of Salem Baptist Church and lives in Worth County. She and her husband, Scott, have two sons, Justin and Chase.

GOVERNMENT
Roderick Jolivette, chief of the Manchester Fire Department, was recognized recently for successfully completing the Georgia Certified Emergency Manager curriculum. As a result of his achievement, Jolivette was named a Georgia Certified Emergency Manager by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, a division of the Georgia Office of Homeland Security. Jolivette, who formerly served with the Albany Fire Department, was presented a certificate of achievement by GEMA Director Jim Butterworth.
