DAVID PAROS: Lets U.S. voters decide who will be shown on currency

There is a simple and commonsense solution for who should be on our currency, political correctness and Broadway shows not withstanding.

First, take a nationwide poll to determine who U.S. citizens, not some bureaucrats in Washington, want on their currency. Then, take the top 10 Americans from the poll and print their likenesses, for one year each, on the 10 dollar bill. (Trust me, the show will go on.)

After 10 years, find out if people want continue the practice with 10 more Americans from a new poll or go back to Hamilton.
