From Staff Reports
ALBANY — Changes to overtime rules for white-collar employees will be the subject of the Lunch & Learn session set for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the Albany Welcome Center, 112 N. Front St.
Officials with the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce say Sherrie Maxwell, SPHR, human capital management consultant with Moulton and Hardin, will discuss the Department of Labor’s recent announcement and the increases to the salary level requirements for white-collar overtime exemptions and what it means to the employer.
Maxwell will explain the steps employers need to start taking to ensure they are in compliance with Labor’s final rule, such as exploring available options, and developing plans to reclassify employees and to communicate the changes.
