ALBANY — Albany police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who damaged an Albany warehouse and took copper.

Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the Albany Police Department, said a burglary was reported to police on Dec. 6 at the Fleetmaster Warehouse, 1020 Clark Ave.

“An unknown male damaged the air-conditioning units on the exterior of the building and then forced his way inside of the warehouse dock doors,” banks said. “While on the inside of the warehouse, the male stripped the majority of the copper out of the overhead units. The value of the damage is unknown at this time.

“The suspect used a forklift to get around inside of the warehouse and to reach the elevated areas where copper was located.”​

Security camera images of the burglar dated Nov. 21 were distributed by APD in hopes of identifying the suspect. Anyone with information on the identity of the burglar is asked to contact APD at (229) 431-2100 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 15 calls on Friday and the early hours of Saturday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:

— Auto accident on the 4000 block of Leary Road, the 3800 block of Clark Avenue, the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway, the 2800 block of Leary Road and the intersection of North County Line Road and Sylvester Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 800 block of Shelton Court;

— 911 hang up on the 4800 block of Folly Drive and the 4800 block of Pinto Drive;

— Bite case on the 800 block of Community Avenue;

— Suspicious person on the 3200 block of Sylvester Highway and the 2500 block of Imperial Street;

— Speeding auto on the 3300 block of Gillionville Road;

— Suspicious auto on the 2400 block of cherry Laurel Lane;

— Animal call on the 2800 block of Barnaby Drive;

— Demented person on the 2900 block of Radium Springs Road.
