Southwest Albany volunteer cleanup scheduled for Saturday
Commissioners organize volunteers for cleanup effort Saturday in Southwest Albany

ALBANY — Albany city and Dougherty County commissioners Jon Howard and John Hayes, along with Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful Executive Director Judy Bowles, are calling for volunteers to help this Saturday with storm cleanup.
According to a press release, volunteers will be in Albany from surrounding cities on Saturday to assist residents in southwest Albany with cleanup from storm damage.
“We hope people will please come out and support this effort and assist those coming to Albany from out of town,” said Howard.
According to Howard, rakes, chainsaws and gloves are needed. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Albany Fire Department Training Center, located at 115 Honeysuckle Road, off Radium Springs Road at 10 a.m.
