Lee County dropped a 4-2 decision to Colquitt County Wednesday night in a nonregion game.
Layne Ward took the loss despite pitching three strong innings. He allowed just three hits and one unearned run.
Three of Colquitt four runs were unearned as the Trojans committed two costly errors.
Colquitt County used seven different pitchers and allowed just four hits. Spencer Hanson finished with two hits, including an RBI double and a single in the sixth inning. Tyler Simon and Brenton Phillips also had hits.
Lee County (8-3) will play at Veterans on Friday at 6 p.m.
