Earth Day prep

ALBANY — City of Albany and Dougherty County officials by the dozen walked the streets of downtown Albany Friday morning, picking up litter and debris in advance of Saturday’s Earth Day celebration. Hundreds of volunteers are expected to gather in east Albany this morning for a cleanup project in an area that Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful Executive Director Judy Bowles called “the worst in the city.”
