DOUGHERTY

July 17

Blue Moon Yogurt Co., 2601 Dawson Road Suite A-16

Score: 94, Grade: A

Violations: Observed cloths for wiping counters and other surfaces in the facility that were not being held in chemical sanitizer solution between uses. PIC to make chlorine sanitizer at 100 PPM to keep cloths in between use. Repeat violation. Observed ice cream scoops being held in a container of water that was not being maintained at a temperature of at least 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Discussed repeat violation with PIC. PIC agreed to keep scooper in dipper well or in water maintained at 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Corrected on-site, repeat violation.

Remarks: Observed leak under three-compartment sink. Discussed with PIC. PIC agreed to call owner and report leak and relay information that sink needs to be repaired by July 27.

July 18

Albany State University/Student Center, 504 College Drive

Score: 95, Grade: A

Violations: Observed the interior of the ice machine with mold buildup. PIC will have the interior of the machine cleaned. Corrected on-site, new violation. Observed the toilet in the men’s restroom needed to be cleaned. PIC will have the restroom cleaned. New violation. Observed the floors in the storage area are soiled. PIC will have the floors cleaned. New violation.

Remarks: Provided PIC with a copy of the food rules, vomiting/fecal clean-up procedure, and employee health policy. PIC will place a work order to have all of the equipment that is out of order fixed.

Cheddar’s Casual Cafe, 1111 N. Westover Blvd.

Score: 98, Grade: A

Violations: Observed utensils near the three-compartment sink that were directly stacked while wet so that air-drying was not encouraged. PIC restacked utensils and will ensure that staff continues stacking just-washed, rinsed and sanitized dishes for proper air drying. Corrected on-site, repeat violation.

July 19

Albany State University West Campus/Student Center, 2400 Gillionville Road

Score: 99, Grade: A

Violations: Observed Dumpster lids not tightly fitting. PIC will put in order to have Dumpster lids replaced. New violation.

Remarks: Satisfactory for permit and change of ownership. Operational inspection to occur within 60 days. Discussed placing trash can at hand sinks. Discussed food labels. Discussed employee personal drinks. Discussed that fume hoods are in the process of being cleaned. Gave PIC a copy of the food service rules, choking poster, hand-washing signs, employee health policy, vomit/fecal incident clean-up procedures and Servsafe information.

Little Whiskey River, 2900 Sylvester Road

Score: 100, Grade: A

July 20

Church’s Chicken, 401 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Score: 95, Grade: A

Violations: Observed no hand soap provided at hand sink at front counter. PIC provided some hand soap. Corrected on-site, new violation. Observed personal food not separated from facility food. PIC will have a designated area for personal food and food was removed. Corrected on-site, new violation.

Score: 94, Grade: A

Violations: Sliced cheese uncovered in reach-in cooler. Frozen vegetables, frozen tots uncovered in chest freezer. New violation. Correct by July 18. Walls, light fixtures, under equipment areas heavily soiled. Repeat violation. Correct by Aug. 17.

Score: 78, Grade: C

Violations: Salad dressing, sliced cheese stored next to raw pork sausage, raw pork bacon in reach-in cooler. PIC properly separated ready-to-eat foods and raw animal foods in reach-in cooler. Corrected on-site, new violation. No written procedures or temperature logs available for Time as a Public Health Control foods. New violation. Correct by Aug.19. Kitchen hand sink plumbing in disrepair. Ware washing sink plumbing in disrepair. New violations. Correct by Aug. 19. Dumpster on bare dirt. Dumpster area, rear kitchen door area covered with litter.
