Notes: Dougherty has had two close games so far, losing by a point at Turner County before claiming victory Saturday in Camilla … This is the first of seven straight games for Dougherty at Hugh Mills Stadium, with the only other true road trip scheduled for the regular season finale Oct. 27 at Crisp County … Berrien was blanked by Irwin County to open the season before winning by 20 last week at home.

Deerfield-Windsor

Notes: Last year’s game was the closest in the three meetings the programs have had since taking a 13-year break … Terrell Academy has a strong non-region schedule, with a trip to currently unbeaten Southland coming up next week.

Notes: Last year’s scheduled meeting was canceled because of Hurricane Hermine … Lee County is ranked second in the Georgia Sports Writers Association Class 6A poll, three spots higher than this time a year ago … The Trojans are in the middle of a four-game home stretch that includes games next Friday against Americus-Sumter and Sept. 15 against Luella … Hardaway, which has gotten 324 rushing yards and a touchdown out of Marco Lee through two games, is on short rest following a 20-15 win Saturday over Harris County in the Muscogee County Kickoff Classic.

Pelham

at Terrell County

Notes: Pelham rebounded from a close, season-opening loss to Westover with an easy win last week … Hornets quarterback Kendrick Patterson has thrown for 365 yards and three touchdowns in two games, completing 25-of-51 passes … Terrell County has been outscored 73-18 so far this season.

Notes: Worth County visits Freedom Field, the home of Veterans and Houston County that opened last year adjacent to Houston County, for the first time … Both Thomas County Central and Turner County held Worth County to 13 points in each of their games … Veterans, which rebounded from a 21-3 loss to Northgate by beating Dublin last week, is led by veteran quarterback Leyton Pinckney.
