ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 10 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 1500 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 1200 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Battery on the 2600 block of South Jackson Street;
— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 2600 block of Costner Court;
— Criminal trespass on the 500 block of Ebony Lane, the 1300 block of Clark Avenue and the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Stop sign violation on the 200 block of North Broadway Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 29 calls on Thursday, Friday and the early hours of Saturday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Auto accidents on the 2900 block of Clark Avenue, the 5900 block of Newton Road, the 1500 block of Moultrie Road, the intersection of Moultrie Road and South County Line Road, and the 900 block of Cordele Road;
— Animals at large on the 100 block of Byron Ridge Drive, the 2300 block of the Liberty Expressway and the 2100 block of Cordele Road;
— Criminal trespass on the 5100 block of Gillionville Road;
— Demented person on the 1200 block of Williamsburg Road;
— Hit-and-run injury on the 2700 block of McCall Court
— Suspicious persons on the 900 block of Pecan Grove Drive, the 200 block of Pinson Road, the 1500 block of Hancock Road and on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;
— Theft by taking on the first block of Luke Drive;
— Family violence on the 5600 block of Hill Road and the 5100 block of Highgate Court;
— Discharging firearm on the 4800 block of Impala Lane;
— VIN verification on the 4800 block of Folly Drive;
— Burglary alarms on the 2600 block of Winifred Road and on the 5000 block of Old Dawson Road;
— Abandoned auto on the 700 block of Henson Drive;
— Lost or misplaced property on the 4600 block of Goldenrod Road;
— Road block at the intersection of Sylvester Road and North County Line Road;
— Speeding auto on the 6400 block of Newton Road;
— Suspicious auto at the intersection of the Liberty Expressway Southeast and Antioch Road;
— Personal welfare check on the 2800 block of Moultrie Road;
— Escort on the 2400 block of the Liberty Expressway Southeast.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Auto accidents on the 400 block of North Slappey Boulevard and at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Pine Bluff Road;
— Dump truck on fire on the 300 block of Third Avenue;
— Natural gas leak on the 1100 block of Clark Avenue;
— Heat from short circuit on the 100 block of Wayne Street;
— Dumpster fire on the 1200 block of Westwood Drive;
— Building fire on the 700 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— EMS assist on the 2500 block of Cherokee Drive.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 74 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included four chest pain calls, three abdominal pain calls, one heart problem, eight respiratory issue calls, two diabetic issue calls, one labor issue call, two seizure calls, three mental health calls, one unknown problem call and 32 general sickness calls. Trauma calls included two overdoses, six auto accident victims, four falls, two lacerations and one industrial accident. Other types of calls included one standby for APD and one local transport.
