AMERICUS — Ignite College and Career Academy announced this week the appointment of Josh Drew as its new Chief Executive Officer. Drew, who has been an integral part of Ignite since its inception, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role. He will continue to serve as the Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education director, maintaining a dual leadership position.

As the CTAE director, Drew has played a pivotal role in shaping the vision and success of the career academy. His background in education and commitment to fostering students’ growth makes him the ideal candidate to lead Ignite into its next phase, officials with the school said in a news release.

“I am honored to take on the role of CEO at Ignite College and Career Academy,” Drew said. “Since the beginning, Ignite has been a beacon of innovation and excellence in education. I am excited to continue working with our dedicated team to provide students with opportunities for success in both their academic and professional journeys.”

In his dual role as CEO and CTAE director, Drew will focus on enhancing Ignite’s mission to prepare students for college and careers through hands-on learning experiences. His leadership will further strengthen Ignite’s commitment to providing a cutting-edge education that aligns with the evolving needs of the work force.

The career academy’s Board of Directors expressed its confidence in Drew’s ability to lead Ignite into the future.

“We believe that Josh Drew’s passion for education, coupled with his proven track record, will drive Ignite College and Career Academy to new heights,” Chris Saunders, Ignite Academy’s board chair, said.

Ignite College and Career Academy leaders say they look forward to a bright future under Drew’s leadership.
