John Hayes: It’s amazing how eloquently you make your George Bush promise of no new property taxes while sitting on a board that’s talking about 4-mil and 2-mil increases. Maybe you and your three compadres plan to again ban together and keep things “as they are” while the county goes bankrupt. It’s not the “white newspaper” making you look foolish; you’re doing quite fine on your own.

Why would Lee County want to work with Chris Cohilas after all of his grandstanding regarding the proposed Lee County Medical Center?

John Hayes cited “new directions” for the county when he justified his opposition to Mike McCoy. Well, John, it’s time to reveal those “new directions.”

I loved the coverage of the Albany Change Group in Sunday’s Albany Herald. The works of good people like this group often go unreported.

Remember the bad old days? When WG&L was so poorly managed that they would give the city a bunch of left-over money? Gee, I wonder what happened to that sorry state of affairs.

After a 14-day trip on Delta Airlines, I returned last night, retrieved my bags after a long wait and went to my car in the long-term parking lot at the airport. To exit the long-term lot, there is no attendant and a credit card is required. The fee to exit the lot was $96. Does that sound reasonable to anyone in Albany at an airport that only has three commercial flights per day? Is the airport commission trying to discourage use of this airport?

Theatre Albany has done an excellent job producing plays without a full-time director. If you missed “Legally Blonde,” you missed an outstanding performance of talented musical actors and actresses. I can’t wait to get the schedule for next year. Thanks for jobs well done by many.

Feral cats are an invasive species, just like pythons. Pets turned into problems for our native wildlife. They both need to be eradicated. If it is good for one invasive species, it is good for the other.

If I knew I was going someplace where I might be separated from my children, I would not go. If you come anyway, this just means you don’t want your children and you want to pawn them off on someone else. This is just one way of stopping illegal immigration.

Like I said before, Squawker: What have they got on Trump for collusion?

I have repeatedly called the city manager’s office on down the line for help with no response: I have an abandoned property on one side of me and a pile of junk on the other. At one time, this was a wonderful city and things got done in a timely manner. No more. This place is going nowhere.
