Great and timely article on Joel Wernick in Sunday’s Herald. He may not be liked by some in the community, but he’s certainly done what he was tasked with doing.

Business leaders who do not appreciate good employees, do not give any yearly raises or bonuses to employees that excel: Some have been running classifieds ads for weeks needing people in all departments. The no raises could be part of the reason.

Why is it that the Dougherty County School System’s custodial staff is paid at the lowest level on the pay scale? Please do something to improve our conditions.

Albany, Dougherty County must consolidate now. It’s the only safe way to avoid a financial disaster.

Remember when the Dixie Chicks lost their career for disrespecting the president? Robert De Niro got a standing ovation for his ugly remarks about the president. What is this world coming to?

We the people vote on commissioners to run our city and county government. But they have to hire outside consulting firms to tell them what to do here. Why not get someone local who knows the community to help them spend their money wisely?

With this historic meeting in Singapore, the deal-maker will weaken U.S. power in Asia and give China strength.
