ALBANY — The Albany Police Department announced late Saturday that the third person involved in the deadly shooting outside Big Daddy’s Lounge on the 300 block of East Broad Avenue Friday has been arrested.

Chris Davis, 27, turned himself in at the downtown Law Enforcement Center and was transported a short while later to the Dougherty County Jail. Davis was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Davis joins Jeff Barnard Cauley Sr. and Matthew Bridges, who were arrested less than 24 hours after the shooting that left Aretavis Washington dead, as the trio deemed responsible for the shooting that started with an argument in Big Daddy’s Lounge and spilled into the streets.

A police report said the incident occurred around 3 a.m. Friday. When the argument spilled into the streets, Washington and Cauley reportedly exchanged gunfire. Washington, 33, was struck in the upper body and died from his injuries. Cauley, police say, was shot as well, but he managed to drive himself to the hospital, where he was picked up by police.

Cauley, 32, was arrested and charged with felony murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated assault.

Bridges, meanwhile, was picked up by Dougherty County Police and transported to the Law Enforcement Center a short while after the shooting occurred. The 25-year-old has been charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
