ALBANY — The Albany Police Department is investigating incidents of criminal activity, including two burglary cases and an aggravated assault, a news release from the agency said.

Officers also received a call in reference to an aggravated assault on Friday. The incident occurred between 9:40-10:06 p.m. The victim reported he was at the 800 block of Cedar Avenue when a suspect confronted him.
He said he went outside to fight the suspect. When he got into the street, the suspect fired at him with a shotgun. The victim then said he ran to the 900 block of Lippitt Drive.
Banks said a suspect has also developed for this case, but there is no word on charges.
Another first-degree burglary took place on the 2200 block of Pace Street Saturday. Banks said that, between 4 p.m. and 12:40 a.m., unknown individuals entered the residence and took a blue luggage bag with items, valued at $200, and a tool belt with tools, valued at $150.
