ALBANY — The Albany Police Department issued a wanted alert Thursday evening soliciting the public’s assistance in locating Joshua Aaron Quattlebaum.

Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, said Quattlebaum, 30, is 6-foot-5 and weighs 206 pounds. He is wanted on a probation violation warrant from Feb. 10, 2016. The probation violation is in connection to a theft by receiving stolen property, and he has been charged with inciting a riot in a holding facility. She said additional warrants are most likely to be taken as well.

Banks said police officials are warning that Quattlebaum may have some mental health issues. He told probation officers that he has high-powered rifles and a plentiful amount of ammunition.

Those with more information on Quattlebaum’s whereabouts are urged to call Albany Area CrimeStoppers at (229)-436-TIPS (8477) or the APD at (229) 431-2100.
