ACC All-Freshman guard Landers Nolley II is transferring from Virginia Tech to Memphis.

The Tigers announced Monday that he had signed a letter of intent.

Nolley has three years of eligibility remaining, but it’s unclear if he will be eligible to play in 2020-21. Transfers traditionally must sit out a year, but the NCAA could grant a one-time waiver to all players due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Nolley averaged a team-high 15.5 points with 5.8 rebounds and started 29 of 32 games for the Hokies in 2019-20.

He scored a season-high 30 points in his Virginia Tech debut, a season-opening 67-60 win at Clemson on Nov. 5.

The 6-foot-7 Nolley was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2018, ranked No. 5 in the state of Georgia and No. 67 nationally by the 247Sports Composite.
