‘Persons of interest’ in weekend murder surrender to police

Lashelton Stanford was shot and killed outside of Brickhouse Studios early Sunday morning. A second man, security guard George Ferguson, was shot in the hand but is expected to recover.

Sunday afternoon, police released the names of four people they said were wanted for questioning. Those four people spoke with detectives Monday.

So far, Jason Loving is the only one of the five who has been released. No charges have been filed against him.

Jacory Butts, Henry Wallace, Sean Frazier and Lawrence Stephens are still being interviewed by detectives, APD Spokesperson Phyllis Banks said.
