LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Honor veterans be treating each other with respect
By Tom Peters
DEAR EDITOR:
As I was going to Florida to take care of my mother’s death, I had a six-hour trip to think about why how lucky the human race is.
I listened to a lot of music and thought of what life would be without it. I thought about all the actors that give us entertainment. We are all gifted in one way or another.
Why is it we are so divided as a nation? Maybe because we believe everything we see on the news. Why can’t we be as God wanted us? To love our neighbors and live in peace and harmony.
This Memorial Day, think of of the veterans that gave us this. They gave their lives because they believed we were different from the rest of the world, that we could live in harmony and accept the differences between us.
Honor our veterans by accepting people for who they are. We are all Americans, and we should treat each other with respect and understanding.
