Woman arrested in shootout with two men

ALBANY — An Albany woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after shooting two companions.

Daysha Rachele Polite, 23, was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting that occurred at Flint Ridge Apartments. Charles Bryant, 22, and Casey Fowler, 24, both sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Police determined that the shooting stemmed from an altercation amongst all parties involved.

Polite was charged with aggravated assault (party to the crime) and placed in the Dougherty County Jail. Officers said more arrests are expected.
