Albany Civil Rights Institute gets $9,000 from King Day proceeds

ALBANY — King Day Celebration Co-Chairman Ken Hodges presented Albany Civil Rights Institute Director Frank Wilson a $9,000 check from the proceeds of this year’s King Day Celebration Monday. Also in attendance for the presentation were Jim Bernhardt, Geraldine Winns, Irene Turner, Femi Anderson, Michele Coney and ASU Police Dept. Capt. Anita Allen. Hodges said the group will later present a check to the Dougherty County School System for storm relief.
