DAWSON — Rivalry matches tend to bring out the best in both sides, and Tuesday’s Region 3-AAA showdown was no exception.

Terrell Academy rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat Deerfield-Windsor School 2-1, securing second place in the region standings and building momentum heading into the state playoffs.

The Lady Knights struck first, carrying a 1-0 lead into the break after Lizzie Wright found the back of the net in the opening half.

But the Lady Eagles responded after halftime.

Baylor Moye ignited the comeback with a second-half goal to even the score, and Caroline Joiner delivered the go-ahead strike as Terrell Academy seized control late in the match.
