Micah Joyner threw one incomplete pass Friday night.

Just one.

The Dougherty sophomore completed 12 of 13 passes for 271 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Trojans to a 45-0 victory over Shaw and earning Albany Herald Friday Night Five Player of the Week honors.

Joyner completed 92.3% of his attempts and averaged more than 20 yards each time he put the ball in the air. He also rushed five times for 53 yards, giving him 324 yards of total offense.

David Burgess caught three passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns, while Melvin Williams turned his two receptions into 87 yards and two more scores. Alonzo Hammonds added three catches for 43 yards.

It was Joyner’s second consecutive game with at least four touchdown passes. He completed 6 of 9 attempts for 225 yards and four scores in Dougherty’s 48-0 victory over Columbus the previous week.
