DCPD responds to man with a gun call

Dougherty County Police Department officers arrested Michael Hill at his home on the 1100 block of Congressional Court around 4 p.m. Thursday in connection with a domestic disturbance.

Charged with misdemeanor pointing a gun at another, Hill was booked into Dougherty County Jail according to county police Capt. Jimmy Sexton. Other charges are possibly pending, he added.

There were no injuries reported, Sexton said. Hill’s first court appearance is today and the case remains under investigation. Hill is circulation director of The Albany Herald. No other information was immediately available.
