ALBANY — Dougherty County Elections officials confirmed Monday that School Board at-large hopeful Lorenzo Heard has yet to pay the $108 qualifying fee to run as an independent candidate against Democratic nominee Lane Price in the Nov. 6 General Election.

2. DCSS hires new HR Director

ALBANY — The Dougherty County School Board on Monday hired Terrell Young as its new director of human resources by a 5-0 vote. Young, who is coming from North Carolina, replaces Tracy Williams, who was fired earlier this year.
