Drug dealer sentenced in federal court

VALDOSTA, Ga. — A Florida man was sentenced to 105 months in prison on cocaine charges Monday, court officials say.
According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Adrian Leary, 33, was sentenced to 105 months after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Leary was sentenced in Valdosta by Hugh Lawson, U.S. district Judge, Middle District of Georgia, officials say.
In entering his plea of guilty on Feb. 22, Leary is said to have admitted that on Aug. 18 2012, in an attempt to evade law enforcement, he drove at speeds exceeding 100 mph. Officials say that Leary also admitted damaging two vehicles on West Hill Avenue in Valdosta, when he exited U.S. Interstate Highway 75 South at a high rate of speed.
