ALBANY – The Albany State Golden Rams unveiled their 2025 football schedule during an event last week at The Flint in downtown Albany. The team will play a 10-game schedule, including four home games at the Albany State Coliseum. Noticeably absent from the schedule is the usual battle with Valdosta State.
The season kicks off with three consecutive road games: Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina, on August 30, followed by Kentucky State in Frankfort, Kentucky, on September 6, and Florida A&M (FAMU) in Tallahassee on September 13.
After a week off, the Golden Rams will host their home opener on September 27, when Allen University visits for “Family Weekend.” A road trip to Jackson, Tennessee, to face Lane College follows before Albany State returns home on October 11 for a “Breast Cancer Awareness” game against Clark Atlanta.
The Golden Rams’ annual homecoming game is scheduled for October 18, with Tuskegee University as the opponent. The team will then travel to South Carolina to play Benedict College on October 25.
Albany State’s final home game of the season is set for November 1 against Savannah State. The regular season will conclude in Columbus with the annual Fountain City Classic against Fort Valley State on November 8.

If the Golden Rams finish as one of the top two teams in the SIAC, they will play in the conference championship game on November 15.
