Albany State unveils new blue football field turf

ALBANY – Albany State University officials unveiled the new blue football turf field Saturday afternoon with a ribbon cutting prior to the Golden Rams’ home season opener against Shaw University. Athletic Director Dr. Kristine Kelley and Head Coach Quinn Gray thanked all of those involved in making the change for the Golden Rams’ playing field. Interim President, Dr. Lawrence Drake II, cut the ribbon and after all of the photos were completed fans were welcomed into the stadium. The first 250 fans to enter were awarded free t-shirts.
