Albany Area Artist Network to present Summer Show and Tell

The Albany Area Artist Network’s Summer Show and Tell is scheduled for Thursday at the Albany Area Arts Council’s 215 N. Jackson St. Gallery.

ALBANY — The Albany Area Artist Network’s Summer Show and Tell is scheduled for Thursday at the Albany Area Arts Council’s 215 N. Jackson St. Gallery. The event, sponsors said, will be held to promote the area’s creative community, build connections, and share what inspires us.

Events planned for the Show and Tell, which is scheduled to open at 6 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m., include:

— A Show & Tell/Open Mic hosted by Rachel Kimbrel Mansfield;

— A collaborative Community Collage activity;

— Opportunities to meet fellow creatives, share work, and get inspired;

— Light refreshments in a relaxed, welcoming vibe;

— Opportunity to view works from the 25th annual Southwest Georgia Regional Fine Art Exhibition & Sale.

The Albany Area Artist Network is a free regional platform created to spotlight, support and connect the creatives of southwest Georgia. The network is for artists or art enthusiasts just starting out or those who are well-established. Together, network members seek collaboration, growth and visibility.

Interested persons can find more information at AlbanyArtistNetwork.org. The Arts Council’s facilities are open Monday-Thursday from noon-4 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment.
