LEESBURG — The Worth County Rams (4-8) jumped out to an early lead and cruised to an 85-61 victory over the Cairo Syrupmakers (1-7) Saturday afternoon, closing out the Round Ball Classic at Lee County High School.

Ashton Williams set the tone with 12 first-quarter points, while Grant Juster added a trio of three-pointers to help the Rams build a commanding 29-12 lead by the end of the first quarter. Worth County maintained their momentum, taking a 51-33 advantage into halftime. Any hopes of a second-half comeback for Cairo were dashed as Worth County outscored the Syrupmakers 25-12 in the third quarter, putting the game out of reach.

Williams finished with a game-high 37 points to lead the Rams. Juster contributed 13 points, and Nikendrick Brown added 12.

Jy’Kortnee Brown paced the Syrupmakers with 26 points, while Davion Tarver chipped in 14.
